a moonless night
a solitary wolf howls
shadows of fear creeping
coldness prevails
the mind wonders
the heart weeps
the soul yearns
it is a long way til dawn.

alas, say it’s moonless, but the moon is not all gone, it’s on the other side, waiting like a demon wolf waiting to prey on us.
