It’s mid January. My first major thing for the year just ended. Dust hasn’t settled yet. Have lots of loose ends to attend to. So how did it go? There was just one word to describe it – different. When Anne asked me how I find my first Sinulog, someone answered for me. Something to be remembered. And that’s become my official PR since.
Sinulog by far had the most firsts. First major visayas event for me. First time to go on ground with so little ammo to go around. And I never needed anyone’s help more than this event. From HO to locals to third parties. One simple sponsorship, nanganak into different forms and variations. Kaka-ngarag. But I was never as blessed as well. Help coming from avenues I never even expected. But when you win some, you lose some. In this case, literally. Nah! I won’t even go into that. Someone said, things like that happen and there’s nothing you can do about it anymore. Right! And then my mother goes, things happen for a reason. I wonder what that is. Really?
And oh I do not think I will ever forget sigarnic. Turned out it’s not listed anywhere. Is it a word? I still wonder. Or maybe it’s really a “drawing” that has become a masterpiece hahaha And what is it about force fields? Right again. It does breakdown sometimes.
So this is 2006?
